Hey all,

I thought I’d start a series of updates around my work-in-progress novel, The Son of Death, just to keep people informed, as well as maintaining an archive on my path to becoming an author!

As the name of the blog post suggests, I’ve finished the first and second chapter of The Son of Death, the first drafts, anyway! This is a very exciting time for me, as it’s my first proper attempt at writing a book.

Most of the first two chapters are concerned with setting up the character of Brân (the main character), as well as setting up to the inciting incident for the book. There’s action, there’s character and world building, there’s plenty of sass! I think they’re shaping up to be some good opening chapters!

Now onto the third chapter, I’m looking to get the story proper going, the inciting incident has been incited, so now the journey and adventure begins!
